Felipe Femur earned an 8/10 from the free app review website, App Apes, losing points in replay value, mainly for the fact that is it a story, and like M. Night Shyamalan’s The Sixth Sense, as well as most all stories, it loses a little bit of power on the second viewing/read through. It has also been entered into the App Apes Halloween (and Day of the Dead) contest, so be sure to go vote for it by clicking the App Apes Halloween Contest banner below, and help Felipe Secure the Users’ Choice award this Halloween season!

As for the App Apes review, you can read it below. The graphics received a perfect score, and the gameplay/story a near perfect with a 9/10.

Summary

Felipe Femur is an enjoyable interactive story book intended for children, but adults can have fun reading along with their kids, as well. The characters are very original, quirky, and illustrated beautifully, as are the backgrounds. The ironic nature of the characters (Sun Loving vampire; toothless werewolf) make the characters quite endearing and the leave the reader wanting more of their adventures.

The gameplay runs much smoother on the iPad, as the iPhone version does not allow the double jump feature, but both offer enjoyable gameplay mixed in with the story. It’s simple, but given the audience and the fact that this would work well as a bedtime story, the simplicity works fantastically.

Finally, given that Felipe Femur is a linear story, the replay value is drastically diminished; however, if you or your child are ones to reread your favorite story over and over, then this will not prove to be a problem, for Felipe Femur will most certainly fall into your pile of favorites.

Overall, a very well done story/game, with a charming cast of characters that we at App Apes hope to see more stories from.
